Bangalore: Senior leaders of Communist Parties and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu will be among the top leaders who would be attending the 'launch' of the ambitious Third Front at Tumkur on March 12.
Talking to reporters in Bangalore on Thursday, State Janata Dal(Secular) - JD(S) - President H D Kumaraswamy said the Front would become a reality after the convention.
Taking exception to senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu's criticism of the Front, he said BJP was desperate to grab power at the Centre.
It was unfortunate that the party was 'poaching' candidates from other political parties to field them for Lok Sabha elections, he added.
Kumaraswamy alleged that Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had no control over some of his ministerial colleagues, who were engaged in 'illegal mining' in Bellary District.
He said his party would release the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections in a few days.
