New Delhi: A 68-year-old cardiologist was allegedly stabbed to death by unknown assailants in Pune on Monday, police said.
Dr Vijay Ghaisas, was alone in his house at Prabhat Road when three assailants attacked him with knives, killing him on the spot.
The deceased doctor's wife and son were reportedly abroad when the incident occurred.
Police have ruled out robbery as a motive. They say personal enmity could be the reason for the crime.
Further probe is on to find out the motive behind the murder, police added.
