TP murder: CPM to hold mass rally on Monday

KOCHI: CPM Ernakulam District Committee will organise a mass rally and meeting on June 4, to protest against the alleged conspiracy against the party in the T P Chandrasekharan murder investigation. Politburo member S Ramachandran Pillai and state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan will address a public meeting at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium at 5 pm.
The mass rallies, expected to be attended by thousands of CPM activists, will commence from Kaloor and Palarivattom at 4 pm, and move towards the stadium.
CPM activists from Angamaly, Kalady, Nedumbassery, Perumbavoor, Kothamangalam, Kavalangad, Aluva, Kalamassery, Paravoor and Vyttila area committees will take out a procession from Palarivattom to Kaloor.
Those coming from Vypeen, Ernakulam, Tripunithura, Mulanthuruthy area committees will assemble at Kaloor before moving towards the stadium. “There is a collective attempt by a section of the media and the UDF to portray the CPM as responsible for the murder of T P Chandrasekharan. It is to protest against this malicious campaign that the CPM decided to organise the mass rally and meeting,” CPM Ernakulam district secretary M V Govindan said.
