Train cleaner returns jewellery

MYSORE: A contract labourer cleaning a rail coach at Mysore Railway station has become a role model by returning gold jewellery worth Rs 9 lakh found in the toilet.
Basappa (50), hailing from Hirur village of Yalandur taluk, was honoured by Railway officials and public for his honesty. They commended the gesture of Basappa who earns just Rs 3,500 a month, and handed over the jewellery to the owner Sheik Mohammad of Polibetta in Kodagu.Mohammad, kept the jewellery, cellphone and Rs 4,000 in a tiffin box.
