Mumbai: Local train services along the Western railway line resumed just hours after the serial blasts rocked Mumbai on Tuesday.
The services were resumed at 0100 hrs (IST) on Wednesday morning and one of the first trains to get back on the tracks ran between Churchgate and Bandra.
"People here have become used to it. The fear will linger on for a few days and then it will be back to normal. We've learn to live with fear," says Yogesh Bafna.
Yogesh is not alone. His co-passengers also have anxiety written all over their faces as they look into an uncertain future.
The compartments are practically deserted and those who have boarded the train have done so out of sheer desperation to go home.
"No I don't feel safe. But I have boarded this train because I have to go home," says another commuter, Anil Patil.
As the train chugs on, frustration levels are high as are concerns of public security. The administration, clearly, has many tough questions to answer.
"They should have proper security checks at various stations and constables should be deployed in compartments," says Bafna.
As Mumbai makes an attempt to get back to normalcy, the issue on top of everyones' minds is the need for public security.
