CHENNAI: A 23-year-old transgender was run over by an EMU train near St Thomas Mount on Friday. Police said Chandra (23), a fortune teller who lived with her mother Muniamma in Ramakrishnapuram, Adambakkam, had left home on Thursday evening and did not return.
On Friday morning, Chandra’s body was found on the railway tracks between St Thomas Mount and Guindy on the Tambaram-Beach route. Railway police recovered her body and are investigating.
