Chennai: Chennai woke up on Thursday to a gruesome triple murder. A high profile former head of a state-run company, his wife and teenage domestic help were found brutally murdered at their residence in Chennai. When the police reached the spot, they found the house ransacked and jewellery and cash missing.
“They reached home last night at 11 PM after attending a party, next day morning when a friend reached their house , he found the gate was open the door was open and the three were found dead,” says commissioner, K Radhakrishnan.
74-year-old Dr S Saravanan was the former chairman and managing director of the state government owned Tamil Nadu Minerals. His 73-year-old wife Kasturi too was a retired government servant, the couple, along with their 17-year-old domestic help were found in different parts of the house with stab marks all over their bodies.
Though the initial investigations suggest that the triple murder could have been committed only by a gang and not a single person, the police is not completely ruling out the possibility of the involvement of a family member in the murder.
