KOCHI: Amidst the ongoing conflict between the Jacobite and Orthodox factions, Catholicos Baselios Thomas I of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church made it clear that they would not call off the the agitation till the government comes up with an amicable solution.
“We will not back out till we retrieve the lost property and assets of our forefathers from the Orthodox faction. The government should come up with a fair decision in this regard,” he said.
The Catholicos said that the government should hold a general meeting of the Kandanad Diocese according to the Supreme Court verdict of 1995.
“The government should respect and implement
the suggestions come through the meeting,” he said.
He led the prayer meet that was held at the entrance of the Kandanad Diocese.
