Truckers call off strike

KEONJHAR: The six-day-long strike by Keonjhar truck owners was called off on Saturday following a meeting between three truck owner associations, Collector D V Swamy and SP Ashish Singh.
As many as 10000 truck owners were on strike protesting the government’s decision on government’s recent decision on barring trucks from mineral transportation work. With the truckers going off the road, the government lost crores of rupees as revenue.
