The serial also played a critical role in Star Plus' success as an entertainment channel.
Playing the bahu in this saas-bahu saga till yesterday was Smriti Irani.
With the soaring popularity of Tulsi, Smriti also rose to fame. From playing the 20-something Tulsi, she greyed on air with elan to playing a 60-something grandmother.
Tulsi's death will reportedly bring about a sea of change in the relationships in Virani house and huge drama is set to unfold in the coming episodes of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi .
