New Delhi: Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh is not a happy man. He claims he has caught a blackmailer redhanded, but Home minster Shivraj Patil has ignored his plea to send the blackmailed over to the police immediately, especially, when Amar Singh is the face of the party which bailed out the UPA in the trust vote.
"I had to get the police myself," said an irate Amar Singh.
And this was not the only reason why Amar Singh was agitated. Congress has been welcoming Samajwadi Party rejections with open arms. Congress' Digvijay Singh even paid little attention to SP logic for seatsharing in Uttar Pradesh.
The bonhomie between the Congress and the Samajwadi Party seems to be slowly eroding. While many in the Congress are questioning the longevity of this alliance, the SP is in no mood to concede too many seats in its stronghold Uttar Pradesh.
The Congress, which believes silence is golden when it comes to SP, has decided to open its mouth.
Congress Spokesperson, Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "In a coalition, you have to practice some restraint."
While this marriage has not yet gone horribly wrong, it is definitely not going through a period of marital bliss.
