New Delhi: Several former and current India and international cricket players took to Twitter on Tuesday to appreciate and comment on India's innings-and-135-run victory over Australia on day four in Hyderabad. The Australians surrendered to India on the fourth morning, losing their last seven wickets for 27 runs and slumped to a 0-2 deficit in the four-Test series.
The win was MS Dhoni's 22nd victory as Test captain, taking him past Sourav Ganguly's record, and also India's second biggest against Australia.
While Ravindra Jadeja kept things tight with his stump-to-stump line to exploit the mental and technical fragility of the Australians, five-wicket hero R Ashwin simply had to pitch the ball on the stumps to elicit apprehension. Australia were bowled out for 130, thus becoming the first team to lose a Test by an innings after declaring their first innings.

The in-form Ravichandran Ashwin took six wickets in the match, including a five-for in the second innings.
