New Delhi: Several former and current India and international cricket players took to Twitter on Sunday to admire and appreciate centuries from Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara against Australia on day two of the Hyderabad Test. Vijay and Pujara scored stroke-filled centuries in an unbeaten stand of 294 that took India to 311 for 1 at stumps, with a lead of 74 over the Australians.
For Vijay, it was his second Test century - the first came against Australia at Bangalore in October 2010 - while for Pujara it was his fourth. On the five occasions that Pujara has crossed the 50-run mark in Tests, four times he has gone on to compile centuries; the one time he didn't was on debut against Australia in the Bangalore Test of 2010 to hasten victory for India. Vijay was not out on 129 and Pujara on 162 at stumps on day two in Hyderabad.
