New Delhi: A 13-year-old boy has been killed and seven people injured in an accident near Rajpath in New Delhi shortly after midnight on Thursday.
Two of the injured have suffered multiple fractures.
The incident took place at about 0030 hrs IST when a Mistubishi Lancer car collided with a Wagon R near Rajpath.
Eyewitnesses say the Lancer was being driven at a very high speed. The driver of the Mistubishi Lancer, Sourav Jain, has been detained and is likely to be arrested soon.
Police say there were five others in the Lancer, all of them being businessmen.
Police are carrying out investigations to determine of the accident was a case of drunken driving.
