Three fans of Chiranjeevi received minor injures when a vehicle in which they travelling to attend the meeting, overturned near Madanapalli in Chittoor District

Chiranjeevi arrived in the temple town on Monday night for the much-hyped launch of his political party at a public meeting on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old actor, who announced his plans to take a plunge into politics at a press conference in Hyderabad last week, will announce the p arty’s name and progammes at the 'mega show'.

Chiranjeevi and his family were received at Tirumala by the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam(TTD) Chairman Audikeshavulu Naidu and TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary.

The actor will offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara and to his “favourite god Hanuman' at Japalitheertam before preparing for his maiden political rally.

A TTD official had expressed fear that the shrine, already experiencing heavy rush of pilgrims due to marriages happening during this auspicious 'Sravana Masam', could choke on the influx of the crowd. About five lakh people are expected to attend the rally, he added.
