Bangalore: The Bangalore Police have detained a suspected quack, Chand Pasha, on charges of medical negligence after two children died due to the medication he supplied to them.
The police said six-year-old Dinesh and four-year-old Kavya were suffering from a complicated illness, and died after Pasha gave them an injection. The two were children of daily wagers.
They had been vomiting on Wednesday morning and were taken to Baba Clinic, run by Chand Pasha.
Their condition became serious towards the afternoon and they died shortly after they were administered an injection by Pasha.
The family has lodged a police complaint and a postmortem will be conducted on Thursday.
