Two weeks to go and F1 fever grips the capital

New Delhi: With just two weeks to go for the Formula 1 race, its fever is catching up in the capital and so is the business around it.

Stores all over the city are selling F1 products right from the checkered flag to balloons and various other things that are adding to the fervour. There are so many thing to buy, you can almost throw an F1 party.

F1 specific products have become an online rage with the sales of F1 inspired T-shirts hitting the roof.

Party Hunterz's Aditya Kapoor said, "there has been a lot of craze with children and adults alike. Because they have been wanting all the merchandise. The children want flags etc for their birthday parties which are basically F1 themes. We keep getting new stuff. My sales have gone up thanks to F1."

The F1 has become the new topic of discussion, even at Diwali parties. For those who know about it to those who don't.

But with tickets selling like hotcakes, its only the early bird that catches the worm.

An avid F1 fan, Puneet says, "there were a whole lot of things regarding the approval of the track whether it will be built on time for the race. But they got the approval sometime around September and that's when we bought the tickets."

Puneet and his friends got bulk tickets booked right at the start and this they say is a time for the old gang to catch up.

Puneet's friend Pranav adds, "everyone is flying down from Dubai, Bangkok, Mumbai and we are very excited about it. I am sure the three days are going to be a lot of fun."

On being asked who is the hot favourite, The choice was unanimous - Michael Schumacher!

Only one man will win the race but some are already getting high on F1 and its speed.
