Los Angeles: U2 singer Bono has the unusual honour of having a new species of spider named after him. According to the Riverside Press-Enterprise, nearly three dozen new species of the trapdoor spider have been identified, three of them from Joshua Tree National Park, which is what tied Bono to its name.

The third species found in that location were classified as bonoi, after Bono, to honour the lead singer and U2's 1987 album 'The Joshua Tree', which also featured photos of the group at the National Park, the E! Online reported. But Bono is not the only celebrity to be a part of this kingdom.

A species of trilobite is named as Norasaphus monroeae after screen diva Marilyn Monroe for its hourglass-like shape. Trapdoor spider is name as Aptostichus Angelinajolieae after Angelina Jolie.
