Guwahati: In what came as a chilling reminder of the massacre of 70 people earlier this month, two Bihari businessmen were shot dead by ULFA insurgents at a remote village in Assam's Tinsukia district on Monday evening.

The banned outfit went to Chapakhowathe village at 1800 hrs (IST) and shot dead 65-year-old Sambhu Prasad and 45-year-old Sriprasad Bairagi, sources said. Witnesses said that the militants fired six to eight rounds killing the two on the spot.

Seventy people, mostly Bihari migrants, were killed by ULFA between January 5 and January 8 in different districts.
