Mumbai: Twenty-six year old Jean Baptiste Talleu, a citizen of France was on a worldwide cycling tour. However, his tour ended abruptly after he went missing in Mumbai.

It's been two months since Talleu was last heard from and his desperate family has now filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police.

The victim's brother, Vincent Talleu says, "Something has definitely happened. Jean always kept in touch. This time, he has not called us for two months, not even on Christmas."

Talleu started his journey from France on July 17, 2007. He travelled through Europe, Iran and Dubai and was set for a trip to Pondicherry via Mumbai before he disappeared.

His last contact with his family was when he called his mother from Dubai on December 2, 2007.

After that he has been untraceable including an unanswered birthday e-greeting sent by his mother on December 11.

Talleu's family believes he did make it to Mumbai because two ATM cash withdrawals were made using his credit card in the city on December 5.

Rs 1,000 were withdrawn from an ATM on Andheri-Kurla road and then Rs 10,000 were withdrawn from Axis Bank.

Senior Police Inspector, Mumbai Police, D T Patil says, "We have registered a complaint and are investigating the matter."

Meanwhile Talleu's desolate family and the French Consulate have issued appeals on the Internet for any information on his whereabouts.
