They are having a tough time coping with their new inmates and the cause of their worry is not deadly criminals but deadly scorpions.
Of late the officers have been spending a lot of their time trying to catch the little venomous creatures.
"We have to carry a torch and a lathi to protect ourselves from the scorpions,” SHO, Mansukhpura Police Station, Agra, Rajesh Kumar says.
Many officers have been bitten by the scorpions. They now take turns for nabbing the poisonous rogues.
"We all take turns to catch the scorpions. We catch and put them in a container,” a policeman at the Mansukhpura Police Station says.
Meanwhile, policemen don't have a solution in sight and it seems their struggle to eliminate their toughest challenge so far will continue for a while.
