The aspiring candidates surrounded his vehicle, demanding tickets to contest the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Tickets for some areas in his constituency are yet to be distributed.
They shouted slogans demanding that tickets must be given to people with clean image.
It was an unexpected welcome for Rahul in his constituency as he arrived for a day-long visit.
The Congress General Secretary had arrived in Amethi to review the status of the schemes of the Central government.
