New Delhi: Reviewing the arrangements for the ongoing Ardh Kumbh on Friday Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav directed officials to ensure that water flow to the Sangam in Allahabad should not be disrupted and its quality should be maintained.
Yadav said that the water flow at the Sangam this year was 10 times more than the previous Kumbh, PTI quoted official sources.
He also asked the officials to ensure all necessary arrangements were made at the Ardh Kumbh Mela for the devotees.
The Chief Minister said in Lucknow that proper arrangements should be made to send those pilgrims, who had lost their way, to their respective native places.
Pointing out that two new 33 KV power sub-stations at Naini and Jhusi have also started functioning, he said two-way line arrangement has been made for power supply to ensure better lighting.
Almost 700 officers and employees have been supervising the lighting arrangements at Mela and all of them could be contacted through a wireless system, he said.
