Lucknow: A minor daughter of a street vender was thrown into a cauldron of hot oil in Uttar Pradesh by two men who had an argument with her father over money, police said on Monday. One accused was arrested.
Saumya, 10, was left with severe burns when the two men Saturday threw her into the hot oil at Shivrajpur, on the outskirts of Kanpur, 100 km from here, police said.
Shivrajpur police station chief Anjani Verma said one of the assailants, Prem Shankar Tiwari, was arrested.

The girl sustained 10 per cent burn injuries and after treatment was sent to her home in Sakrej village, doctors said.
The two local musclemen first ate at her father Avnish Pandey's wayside stall. When Pandey asked them to pay for the snacks, they allegedly threw the girl into the cauldron.
