Lucknow: In a new twist in the alleged rape case in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, the pathological report of the minor states that there is no evidence of rape. The doctors, however, have not ruled out sexual assault.
The report comes hours after the Supreme Court took suo motu cognisance of the case, asking the UP government to explain why the 10-year-old girl and her mother were jailed, when they went to register a complaint.
On Tuesday, the UP Police suspended two women constables over the incident. The main accused in the case, a local goon, was also taken into custody.
