New Delhi: A minor girl was set ablaze by two men for resisting sexual harassment in Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, is in a critical condition after suffering 90 per cent burns and is undergoing treatment at a district hospital.

The accused had entered the girl's house by scaling a wall and poured petrol on her while she was sleeping in the courtyard.

The victim's father said, "I went to the police station to lodge a complaint, but was thrown out of the police station. They told me they won't register my complaint."

The police, however, have arrested one of the accused Subhash, while his accomplice Satish is absconding.

The shocking incident came just two days after a minor girl died after being raped and set on fire in Nashik.
