New Delhi: A group of policemen have been caught on camera accepting money from Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Vijay Mishra in Allahabad. The incident took place at Naini Jail when Mishra was being released on bail.

The visuals show not just Mishra but also his daughter offering what they called 'tips' to the policemen.

The SP MLA from Gyanpur was in jail for attacking a former BSP Minister in 2010.

After the video was released, Jail Superintendent Amreesh Gaur called it a shameful incident and said a probe would be ordered.

Vijay Mishra has 62 criminal cases against him and is the main accused in a bomb attack carried out on former BSP minister Nand Gopal Nandi in July 2010. Almost a dozen people were injured and two others - Nandi's personal guard and an Indian Express reporter - were killed in the attack.
