UP polls: Rahul sells Cong dream

Bundelkhand (UP): Rahul Gandhi received a warm welcome on the first day of his second roadshow in Uttar Pradesh.

The security was beefed up and the Special Protection Group (SPG) insisted on a chopper for his roadshow.

However, Rahul chose the aerial route to descend on Bundelkhand. It was a secure future for UP's youth that Rahul was pledging for after all.

“UP can only progress if the youth participates in the state’s development,” said Rahul.

He also took a swipe at parties like the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samawadi Party for using the people of the state only for immediate political gains.

“Other parties have used UP’s people for political gains & left them where they were 15 years ago,” said Rahul.

Speaking at length on what the Congress party had done for the people of UP in the past and his vision for the future, Rahul also took the people of Bundelkhand down memory lane.

Rahul’s key words have been development and youth so far but it remains to be seen how much of this really translates into votes.
