New Delhi: There seems to be some development in Uttar Pradesh's political circles. A patch-up seems to be in the offing between friends-turned-foes Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
The Uttar Pradesh government has withdrawn all cases of money laundering against the former Samajwadi Party member. An FIR had been filed against Amar Singh in 2009 during the Mayawati-led BSP regime.
The move indicates a thaw in relations between the two leaders. However, sources say that Mulayam's own family, including his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, is opposed to it.
