Ranchi: All security arrangements are in place for the day long visit of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to Jharkhand on Friday, a source in the Raj Bhavan said in Ranchi on Thursday.
Governor K Sankaranarayanan discussed security measures with senior officials ahead of Chidambaram's visit to the state capital, during which he is expected to raise the issue of Naxal menace with top state officials, the source said.
Chidambaram, who is making determined effort to root out naxalism from the country, would also inaugurate an administrative building of of the state police.
Incidentally, Chidambaram's visit comes two months after a Maoist leader, in a press release at Garhwa, had dared the union minister to step in the state.
