New Delhi: The Thane NCP leader Jitendra Avhad registered his protest against the BMC dumping grounds in Thane and Mulund by dumping a truck full of garbage in front of the Municipal headquarters in Mumbai.
The NCP leader says that despite various complaints by the residents, the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had not made any move to treat the garbage dumped in Thane scientifically.
He claimed that the stench of the garbage was affecting the health of people living within a radius of 5 kilometers of the dumping ground.
The police have meanwhile arrested the driver and the cleaner of the dumper for questioning. The duo could be charged both under police and BMC laws.
