US ready for a taste of Indian Cowboy

Press Trust Of India

New York: Indian-American film-maker Nikhil Kamkolkar's film Indian Cowboy, a romantic comedy that explores the essence of true love in today's jet-set global lifestyle, is set to enthrall moviegoers this month.

With Indian Cowboy, Kamkolkar completes his trilogy, close on the heels of his two earlier successful releases - American Desi and American Chai.

The film, starring Deep Katdare and Sheetal Sheth, is slated for release on February 23 in the US. But Kamkolkar wants to see Indian Cowboy play in India as well.

However, no distribution deal to sell the film in India has been set up as yet.

According the India-born filmmaker, the film brings a new style and sensibility to the silver screen with its theme.

Pointing out that his comedy does not have the attraction of actors like Aishwarya and George Clooney, Kamkolkar said: "Without star power, getting a film distributed anywhere in the world is quite a challenge."
