Uttar Pradesh: Neighbour rapes five-year-old, victim succumbs to internal injuries

Hathras: A five-year-old girl succumbed to her internal injuries on Thursday after she was allegedly raped by her neighbour, police said. The child was raped by the neighbour, Bablu, who lured her on the pretext of giving her a toffee during a marriage ceremony in Naukhel locality on Wednesday night, they said.

Bablu fled when the girl started crying. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, which referred her to the Aligarh Medical College where she passed away on Thursday, police said.

An FIR has been lodged against the accused and efforts are on to nab him.
