Uttar Pradesh: Relative rapes 8-year-old girl, arrested

Barabanki: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her relative in Rasoolpur village under Satrikh police station area in Barabanki, police said. The girl had gone to the agriculture field on Friday evening when her distant relative Sanjay (30) lured her to a secluded place and allegedly raped her, they said.

Later, the girl was found lying in an unconscious state by her family members, police said, adding that the victim told the incident to her family members.

The minor has been sent for medical examination and the accused has been arrested, police added.
