UTV announces next Tamil film 'Sigaram Thodu'

Chennai: 'Sigaram Thodu' is the next Tamil offering from UTV Motion Pictures. It will feature actor Vikram Prabhu in the lead.

Gaurav of 'Thoonga Nagaram' fame is the writer and director of the film.

The pre-production work for 'Sigaram Thodu' commenced Wednesday, and the film's shooting is expected to begin from April 2013. The other cast and crew is under finalisation and will be announced shortly.

\'Sigaram Thodu\' is the next Tamil offering from UTV Motion Pictures.

"As a Studio, it has been our constant endeavour to bring across the right mix of content for our consumers like we have done with our Hindi slate. South is a key market for us and we will be announcing an equally eclectic slate this side as well," said G. Dhananjayan, chief - South Business, Studios, DisneyUTV, said in a statement.

UTV Motion Pictures has also produced Tamil film 'Settai', the remake of hit Bollywood film 'Delhi Belly'. It will the banner's first release in Tamil, and will release in February. 'Sigaram Thodu' will hit theatres in December.
