New Delhi: Prices of vegetables are seeing a 10 to 15 per cent rise across the country due to unseasonal rainfall across north India.

In Shimla, heavy hailstorm damaged a standing apple crop and caused huge losses. Farmers in the rest of Himachal Pradesh and Haryana too are suffering from similar problems due to unexpected rainfall.

State governments have assured aid and will approach the Centre for more aid.

It has been raining in Delhi as well and the Met Department has predicted thundershowers across North India over the next 24 to 48 hours.
