Vetrimaran delays Simbu's film for Dhanush

New Delhi: It's a development in the Tamil film industry that will be seen as another example of the ongoing contest of one-upmanship between Dhanush and Simbu. National award winning filmmaker Vetrimaran, who has teamed with Dhanush for both his directorial ventures so far, has opted to cast the Kolaveri actor in his next flick as well. And what's more, this project has been taken up by postponing a film with Simbu as the lead, titled Vada Chennai.

"Dhanush and I have decided to work together and I have just started scripting the flick. Nothing else has been finalised and the casting process will take at least a month," says Vetrimaran.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be produced by Cloudnine Movies, which was supposed to produce Vada Chennai as well. GV Prakash, a staple in Vetrimaran's films, will compose music for this film.

Vetrimaran delays Simbu\'s film for Dhanush

National award winning filmmaker Vetrimaran has delayed a film with Simbu to make a new film with Dhanush.

This film is not likely to begin any time now, and will be taken up only after Dhanush completes all the films currently in his kitty. And that will include Dhanush's Bollywood debut Raanjhnaa and the bilingual Mariyaan. Vetrimaran and Dhanush had earlier worked together for Polladhavan, and followed it up with Aadukalam which won them both a National Award.

Not citing any reason for postponing Vada Chennai, Vetrimaran only reiterated that the film was not dropped.
