New Delhi: As the Presidential poll nears, the UPA is expected to announce its Vice Presidential candidate. The ruling coalition which will be meeting on Saturday, is likely to give a second term to incumbent Hamid Ansari.
However, Mamata Banerjee is playing spoilsport once again. Sources say the Trinamool Congress (TMC) Chief is likely to skip the dinner as she has reservations against the UPA's Vice Presidential candidate too.
Sources say that TMC leader Mukul Roy will be representing the party at the dinner. Sources add that the party is going to raise objection against a second term for Ansari. The TMC is said to be keen on Gopal Krishna Gandhi or Krishna Bose for the Vice Presidential post.
The Congress, however, is confident that getting the numbers will not be difficult.
