The filmmaker and the actress were in town to promote the film. And comparison with Jagmohan Mundra's Provoked was something that got filmmaker Deepa Mehta all worked up
“The canvas of Videsh is immigration and isolation in immigration and abuse which results from that isolation and that's not the context of provoked , so the context of provoked is different from that of videsh, " says Deepa Mehta.
Apart from getting a chance to work with Deepa , Actress Preity Zinta is also thrilled about winning the best Actress award at the Chigago Film Festival and a nomination at the 29th Gene's awards to be announced in the month of April in Cananda
“To be nominated at the gene and being the first actor from India to do it is something one cant expect I am glad I did this film and tried to attempt something different,” says Preity Zinta.
Releasing on 27th of this month Videsh will hit theatres in two languages Hindi and Punjabi.
