Mumbai: Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been in the news for all her fashion faux pas, but she will soon be donning the exquisite festive collection of designers Prriya and Chintan as she walks the ramp in New York in support of the Nargis Dutt Memorial Foundation.
Designers Prriya and Chintan known for their exquisite and vibrant Indian creations, unveiled their festive collection on Monday.
"I'm a little shy to be walking the ramp otherwise but for this cause, I said yes instantly. They are raising money for the Nargis Dutt Cancer association to buy the equipment and send it across,” says Vidya Balan.
"We were thinking who to approach for the festive collection. She was our first choice and she does signify a very Indian sensibility,” says Chintan.
While the nervous Vidya gears up to walk the ramp on August 24, her fans hope that she continues to walk for a good cause.
