Click to play videoMumbai: It’s been almost a year since Vidya Balan's last release Kismat Konnection in July 2008, but the actress promises to be back with a bang having a slew of big releases in the pipeline.
Vidya Balan said, “There is Ishqiya and Pa. Ishqiya will come around August. It's a film with Arshad and Naseer and it’s been directed by Abhshek Chaube. Pa with Mr Bachchan and Abhishek and it’s been directed by Balki, that will come later in the year.
Like most actresses Vidya Balan too seems to be in awe of the senior Bachchan who she co-starred with first in Eklavya and will be soon acting with in a film titled Chenab Gandhi again.
Balan said, “I've worked with him very briefly in Eklavya and then I've worked with him extensively in Pa and I've realized it’s an honour to be working with him. I know why he is who he is- the dedication, the passion, the hard work the man puts in, puts all of us to shame.”
And the Parineeta girl who queued up to vote didn't seem too disappointed with the low voter turnout during the recent polls in Mumbai.
Balan said, “It's a landmark election at this point cause we are all wanting answers – we are all wanting accountability. Suddenly there is this awareness- people who haven't voted in a long time are waking up. I was going through certain statistics and the number of young people who have got voting cards this year have by far outnumbered the last few elections. I think that's very heartening.
Now that's a new way of being politically correct.
