Vizag jeweller goes missing in Bangalore

VISAKHAPATNAM: Vaibhav Jewellers on Wednesday stalled sales at its outlet in the city on Wednesday after chairman of the Vaibhav Empire Pvt Ltd Grandhi Manoj Kumar reportedly went missing at Bangalore on Tuesday.

Sources said Manoj Kumar was supposed to board a New Delhi flight at Bangalore airport on Tuesday.

Manoj, who had stayed at a star hotel at Bangalore, checked out of the hotel in the wee hours of Tuesday. He reportedly got into a cab and reached the airport. However, Manoj did not take a boarding pass at the airport while his two mobile phones were switched off, said the sources.

Manoj has three daughters while his wife is a director of Vaibhav Empire. "We have no information of him after he reached the airport. Police are trying to trace him," a close associate of Manoj told Express. However, rumours spread that Manoj Mumar was kidnapped by unidentified persons.

Manoj Kumar is a close friend of P Krishna Prasad, soninlaw of Tamil Nadu governor K Rosaiah.
