New Delhi: If you haven't fared well in class 10 and 12, you still stand a chance of admission to IIM-Ahmedabad.
A month ago, IIM-Bangalore became the first IIM to disclose its admission criteria.
To the shock of many, it revealed it gives 40 per cent weightage to scores in class 10, 12 and graduation exams. But CNN-IBN has learned IIM-Ahmedabad does not follow the same procedure.
CNN-IBN obtained the details through the Right to Information Act. IIM Ahmedabad says the only criterion to get a call for the group discussion is you CAT score. That's the common admission test for all IIM aspirants.
Although there is some clarity about the method IIM-Ahmedabad uses to select its candidates, the institute did not disclose the exact procedure of admission to its post-graduate programme.
It said that's because it might affect candidates negatively and exercise pressure on panelists involved in the selection process.
