Airhostess wins space trip in sweet wrapper

New Delhi: The love of chocolates has so far got the people of France only warnings from dentists. But it's got Mathilde Epron, a French airhostess, a free ticket to space.

The secret - a game she found on a bar of Kit Kat.

"I was very lucky and I am very privileged. I simply played a game on a chocolate bar, which I bought in a supermarket, just like that. There was a game marked on the package but i really didn't pay attention so I threw the packet in the dustbin. Two hours later I said to myself, 'you know, what if I play that game'. So I got it out of the bin and I went on to the Internet and followed the directions."

Epron played the game and won a trip to space on the Rocketplane XP aircraft.

The Rocketplane XP aircraft will reach an altitude of 100 km and allow a five-minute experience of weightlessness at three times the speed of sound.

A seat on the inaugural flight in October 2010 costs $2,50,000 - a good enough reason, perhaps, to start chomping down on all the Kit Kats that you can.
