War of words: Advani attacks, Manmohan reacts

New Delhi: This election season, one is getting to see an uncharacteristically aggressive Prime Minister who does not shy away from hitting back at his opponents, especially, BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate, LK Advani.

"Advani's economic perspective is wishful thinking," said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

A power packed punch from the PM to BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate. The BJP's well crafted attack on projecting the PM as weak hasn't gone down well with Manmohan Singh at all.

"I can't speak as well as Advani but Nation needs someone who is strong in direction. Look at Advani, he was present at the Babri Masjid demolition and didn't protect it, compare his record as home minister with our record, Kandahar, three terrorists released and foreign minister negotiates," he added.

It's not as if Advani has been taking these provocations lying down, the more the PM reacts the more Advani attacks.

There may not be a live television debate between the two leaders but Manmohan Singh and LK Advani quite clearly are having a free for all debate before the electorate.
