Mumbai: While producers and multiplex owners continue to fight over the profit sharing issue, the stars are now coming out appealing to their fans to go and watch their upcoming releases in single-screen theatres.

Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh have also stood by their producer and as their movie Aa Dekhen Zara didn’t release in multiplexes they have sent out a message to the audiences requesting them to come and watch the film in single-screen theatres.

“I feel violated but I'm glad we have a solution till the time this issue ends and I request people to please go to single screens and see the film,” says actor Bipasha Basu.

“Films are meant for entertainment and made with a lot of a passion please go and see all our films at the single-screen,” adds actor Neil Nitin Mukesh.

The team along with the members of the Producers Guild of India gathered at Gaiety Cinema, reiterating that they would not give up their demand for a 50 per cent share of profits from ticket sales.

“Have you ever seen all these people together sitting like this, it is because we are asking for justice we are just asking for half that 50 per cent,” says filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
