New Delhi: Telugu actor Ram Charan tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Upsana Kamineni at a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad on Thursday morning.

Many celebrities such as Rajinikanth and Sridevi attended the wedding. A wedding reception will also be held on Thursday evening. Ram Charan has organized a fans' reception on June 15, 2012.

Upasana, granddaughter of Prathap C Reddy, founder-chairman of Apollo Hospitals, and Ram Charan got engaged in December last year.

Son of superstar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan is making his debut in Hindi films with the 'Zanjeer' remake. He will have two weddings - one for the family and friends, and the other for his fans. Ram Charan says he is expecting 4,000

guests at each function.

Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan are attending the wedding. He is passionate about his fans and said "There's just no question of not inviting my fans" to the wedding.

He said he saw Upasna already as his wife in his mind and heart and were attending pujas every night and catching up on some sleep during the day."

On Sunday his father hosted a pre-wedding dinner and Salman Khan landed in Hyderabad for it.
