Srinagar: A footage shot by an unmanned aerial vehicle shows the movements of suspected terrorists in Kupwara where an infiltration bid has been foiled the Army. GoC 15 Corps Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh said that the encounter is on to foil the massive infiltration bid by 4 groups of terrorists.

"Currently we have an operation which is going on in Kupwara sector where a major infiltration bid is being eliminated, Heavy fire-fight is currently going-on on the ground," Singh said.

Singh added that the encounter has been going on for the last two-three days. "Terrorists have tried to infiltrate from this sector. So far 10-12 bodies of terrorists have been observed by the Army," he said.

Singh said that the area where the operation is underway has been cordoned off and reinforcements have been moved to the area. Singh also added that the situation is under our control.

The four terrorist groups are Al Badr, Hizbul Mujahideen, LeT and the Jaish-e-Mohammad. Army officials say 30 terrorists were believed to be involved in the infiltration bid.
