Watch films, grab a bite all prepaid

Chennai: We all know that one can book a movie ticket over the phone or over the Internet, but here’s the latest at the box office - a prepaid card that can get you movie tickets and just about anything at the snack counter.

A prepaid card for the movies is a first of it's kind and apart from films it can help you get all those goodies over the snack counter too.

Launched by Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai, the prepaid card is aimed for youngsters who may not have a regular access to cash.

“There'll be no more fumbling for change or being short of cash, you can have access to all with just one facility,” Chief Operating Officer, Sathyam Cinemas, Tan Ngaronga explained.

Priced at Rs 300, the starter pack would come in handy for youngsters who can't afford a credit card and could be used up to a year's time. It can also be recharged in increments of Rs 100.

And who better than film actors to endorse the card?

“I feel it's going to be useful for youngsters and kids especially if they have a habit of spending too much. The parents could give it to their kids and they could spend it well at Sathyam,” actor Suriya said.

For actor Srikanth the card is the end of all problems. "I think it's really nice to have a simple card rather than running around with cash. It's more easy now,” actor Srikanth said.

So, just grab your popcorn, snuggle up in a comfortable seat on the corner and just enjoy the movie - all prepaid!
