Mumbai: Saturday afternoon saw actor Sonam Kapoor turning into Santa Claus in real life, but without the costume. The occasion was a charity event organised by Life Trust, a group which works to make education accessible to underprivileged children.
Sonam gifted educational toys to the kids and couldn't help remembering the first gift she received as a child.
"The first gift I got was the game Scrabble. I didn't know how to play it because I was only three years old when I got it but I was really fascinated by it and I love words, which is also why I started reading books so early. So I guess books were my first educational gifts," she says.
Sonam - who is currently busy shooting for her home production Ayesha - plans to keep herself busy around Christmas by spending time with family.
"It's my father's birthday on December 24, which is Christmas eve, so we all celebrate the festival in a big way," says she.
One hopes Santa brings the actress some box-office success in the New Year too.
